UP cops hunt for Kairana MLA over tiff with official

MUZAFFARNAGAR: Police teams from UP's Shamli district on Wednesday conducted raids in parts of Delhi in search of Kairana MLA Nahid Hasan, who according to police is evading arrest in connection with a case filed against him for driving a vehicle without valid documents and misbehaving with SDM when asked for papers.
However, after the policemen failed to nab him, they said they will approach court to initiate attachment proceeding of MLA's properties.
On September 9, Hasan and Kairana's sub-divisional magistrate Amit Pal Sharma had a spat when the officer stopped the SUV in which the MLA was traveling and asked for its documents. Later, it turned out that the vehicle was not registered. Hasan was booked for allegedly misbehaving with the government servant and driving an SUV without papers. tnn
