BBC rebukes host for Trump remark

LONDON: The BBC drew flak on Thursday after it ruled that one of its TV anchors had broken the company’s editorial guidelines by criticising President Trump for saying that four female US lawmakers should return to the “broken and crimeinfested places from which they came”.
The rebuke of Naga Munchetty — born to an Indian mother — set off outrage among journalists.
In July, she had put the Trump’s remarks in context of racism. “Every time I have been told to go back to where I came from, that was embedded in racism.”
