PICS: Alia-Ranveer prep for KJo's Takht'
Alia Bhatt has finally begun work on ‘Takht’, her next film with director Karan Johar. The actress, who was spotted visiting the director’s office over the weekend, was reportedly there to begin brainstorming sessions for the film that is expected to go on floors shortly.
The actress took to her social media account to post a boomerang video of herself holding a bright red coffee cup with ‘Takht’ written on it. Joining her at the Dharma office, was her hunky co-star Ranveer Singh, who was spotted in rocking a quirky purple coat over his all-black outfit.
Karan’s next directorial – a period drama, boasts of an ensemble cast of Alia, Ranveer, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, and Janhvi Kapoor. The director is expected to get the cameras rolling by January and release the film later in 2020. He recently took to social media to share with fans his prep for the film that includes a space in his office with a board featuring photos of all his lead stars.
“Space to create!” he captioned the video.
Meanwhile, the buzz around town hints at Alia wanting to begin work on ‘Takht’ sooner than expected since her film ‘Inshallah’ with Sanjay Leela Bhansali was put on the back burner. The actress now has a 2-month slot open in her calendar that she had originally allocated to Bhansali’s project. However, with no signs of the project taking shape any time soon, rumour has it that she may just begin work on Karan’s next with Ranveer.
