Women Commission to act against Vivek Oberoi

Earlier in the day, Vivek Oberoi took to Twitter to share a meme that compares Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's relationships to the stages of polling.
The meme was a collage of three pictures -- one that shows Aishwarya with Salman Khan, another that shows Aishwarya with Vivek, and a third that shows Aishwarya with Abhishek Bachchan. The first is tagged 'opinion poll', the second 'exit poll' and the third, 'results'.
The meme created by a Twitter user was shared by Vivek on his official handle.

"Haha! creative! No politics here....just life ," said Oberoi, while sharing the meme but the meme did not go down well with his followers.

The comments section has been full of users slamming Vivek for the tweet. Notably, celebrities like Sonam Kapoor[6] and Jwala Gutta[7] were among those who criticised Vivek for his tweet.

In the latest development on this, Maharashtra State Commission for Women will be reportedly taking action against Vivek Oberoi on his objectionable tweet. More details are awaited on the same.
News agency ANI also confirmed that the commission is considering to act against Vivek. ANI tweeted, "Maharashtra Women Commission: Maharashtra State Commission for Woman mulling to take action against actor Vivek Oberoi on his objectionable tweet (on exit polls)."
