Salman, Big B, Bebo at Veeru's prayer meet

Ajay Devgn lost his father and the Bollywood bid adieu to action director Veeru Devgan. The Devgan family shared an official statement soon after the news broke. The statement read as, "With profound Grief and sorrow, We regret to inform that Mr.Veeru Devgan, Veteran Action Master and Father of Actor Ajay Devgn passed away this Morning."
The funeral was held at Vile Parle West Crematorium at 6:00 pm on 27th May 2019 where Ajay performed the last rites. Many Bollywood celebrities including Suniel Shetty, Salim Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor arrived to pay their last respects. Whereas many stars took it to their social media handle to offer their condolences to the family.
Today, the family organised a prayer meet for Veeru Devgan. Ajay and wife Kajol arrived first along with daughter Nysa. They were joined in by Bollywood personalities like Chunky Panday and wife Bhavana, Kabir Bedi and wife Parveen Dusanj, Ritesh Sidhwani, Vipul Shah and Shefali Shah. Later, Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Suresh Oberoi, Urmila Matondkar also arrived to pay their last respects. Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan also reached the venue, followed by Salman Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Tabu, Kareena and Karisma Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal
