15 security personnel killed in IED blast by Maoists in Gadchiroli
NAGPUR: At least 15 security personnel were killed in an improvised explosive device[1] (IED) blast carried out by the Maoists in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district[2] on Wednesday.
The blast took place at Lendhri pool around 6km from Kurkheda in north Gadchiroli.
Earlier in the day, Maoists torched at least 25 vehicles of a road construction company in Gadchiroli[3] district, police officials said.
The targeted vehicles were engaged in construction works for the Purada-Yerkad sector of NH 136 near Dadapur village.
