Avoid Kashmir: UK, Germany to citizens

NEW DELHI: Foreign countries have now started cautioning their citizens about travel to Kashmir following the state's advice to Amarnath yatris and tourists on Friday to curtail their stay in the Valley and "return as soon as possible".
On Saturday, United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) issued an advisory against all travel to "the immediate vicinity of border with Pakistan, other than at Wagah and J&K except for (i) travel within the city of Jammu, (ii) travel by air to the city of Jammu, and (iii) travel within the region of Ladakh."
Germany also issued an advisory for its citizens, discouraging travel to J&K and encouraging those who are there to leave the state.
