'Shahid may not win an award for #KabirSingh'
Shahid Kapoor's recent release 'Kabir Singh' scored huge at the box office. The film raked in more than Rs 270 crores and received a lot of love and appreciation from the masses.
The film was also criticised for the Shahid's character in the film and its behaviour towards his girlfriend, played by Kiara Advani. The movie faced backlash for glamorising misogyny and toxic masculinity.
And in a recent interview, filmmaker Farah Khan talked about controversial shows and films. Talking about the same, she said that everyone who has a phone is a critic nowadays. Random social media users are sharing a critical analysis of the film. However, there are only one or two who evaluate the film on how was it shot, how was the direction, screenplay and other things.
Talking about Sasha's 'Kabir Singh' she said that his film has done so well but because it got criticised so badly. And because of same, she feels that if Shahid is going to win some award for it, then the organisers might reconsider it as the film received a lot of criticism.
Meanwhile, Farah is currently working on the script of the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 'Satte Pe Satta'. She has joined hands with Rohit Shetty for the film. The cast of the film is yet to be announced.
On the other hand, 'Kabir Singh' was a remake of Telugu hit film 'Arjun Reddy'. Shahid's film was helmed by Sandeep Vanga who also directed the original flick. The film was released on June 26.
