Will Akshay be part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2?

Kartik Aaryan^[1] is all set to step into the shoes of Akshay Kumar^[2] in the sequel of 2007 film, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. While there are a lot of speculative stories going around suggesting Akshay Kumar being part of the film, director Anees Bazmee^[3] recently spilled the beans on the same. Speaking about it Anees revealed that the film is being designed such that Akshay can be included in a special appearance. He reportedly said that they haven't completed the script yet. There is an attempt to write a character that suits him even as the narrative stays in sync with the first film.
Anees also added that Kartik Aaryan is looking forward to collaborate with Akshay Kumar in the sequel, and he will be the happiest if Kumar comes on board as he is a big fan. The filmmaker also confessed that his presence will also widen the film's reach.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ will hit the theatres on July 31, 2020.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay has his pockets full with films like, ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Good News’, ‘Housefull 4’, ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and ‘Bachchan Panday’.
Kartik, on the other hand, will be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s next with Sara Ali Khan. He is also part of the official remake of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’. The film also stars Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar^[4].
