PKL season seven: Tougher than ever
The growth of VIVO Pro Kabaddi[2] and its rising popularity have made it the most watched non-cricketing sports league in India. WHAT'S NEW THIS SEASON?
o The season returns to the original VIVO PKL[5] calendar - beginning on July 20th and finals on October 19th, 2019.
o The league will be played in double round robin format where each team will play every other team twice, and the top six will go to the playoffs
o Each city leg begins on Saturdays while rest days for the team are on Tuesdays
o All teams get four days rest before and after their home legs, giving them adequate time to recover
o The teams will play four home matches on Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays
o All teams will have played an equal number of games at the half-way mark
