Court says Kamal Nath nephew can't be held till Monday
NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Saturday granted protection from arrest till Monday to Ratul Puri, nephew of Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, in a money laundering case related to AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam.
The court, however, asked him to join investigations before the Enforcement Directorate. Puri had approached the court seeking anticipatory bail, claiming he feared arrest even though he has been cooperating with the probe.
Puri, chairman of Hindustan Powerprojects Pvt Ltd, approached the court arguing he was cooperating in the probe and there was no need of his arrest.
He had recently appeared before the ED for questioning in the case pertaining to the now scrapped Rs 3,600 crore United Progressive Alliance-era chopper deal.
