Spain warns against 'bloodshed' in Venezuela

MADRID: Spain[1] warned Tuesday against "bloodshed[2]" in Venezuela[3] where opposition leader Juan Guaido said he had the support from soldiers in a move denounced by Caracas[4] as an "attempted military coup."
"We strongly hope that there will be no bloodshed," Spanish government spokeswoman Isabel Celaa told reporters, calling for elections and saying Madrid[5] supports a "peaceful" outcome to the Venezuela crisis.
