Sanjay on daughter Shanaya's film debut

Actor Sanjay Kapoor^[1]'s daughter Shanaya Kapoor^[2]'s Bollywood^[3] debut has been the talk of the town for a long time now. And before she enters into the industry as an actress, Shanaya is currently working as an assistant director in her cousin Janhvi Kapoor^[4]'s next film.
Janhvi's next is a biopic based on IAF^[5] pilot Gunjan Saxena^[6]. Sanjay recently revealed that his daughter is in Lucknow with the film team. He stated that it was a joint decision and Shanaya wanted to experience things and understand the space instead of joining a three-year-course abroad.
Daddy Kapoor added that his daughter is doing all the workshops and learning dance lessons which are needed before one takes up acting as a career.
He further stated that his kids need to understand this isn't a cakewalk and is an extremely professional space. He said that she might have a filmy background and connections, but sustaining in the industry isn't that easy. As Sanjay is aware of how everything works, that is why he made his daughter go through all the process.
He said that a lot of hard work is required and the glamour is only exterior.
Meanwhile, Sanjay also refuted all the rumours of Karan Johar^[7] launching his daughter but added that she is definitely getting ready for a Bollywood career. For now, he said that she is concentrating on her current work.
