Will take care of villages Parrikar adopted: Goa CM

AMETHI: Goa CM Pramod Sawant on Saturday announced he would continue development and charitable works his predecessor and ex-defence minister Manohar Parrikar had started in the two villages he had adopted in Amethi.
Parrikar, elected as Rajya Sabha MP from UP, had adopted two Amethi villages — Baraulia in 2015 and Hariharpur in 2017 — and used his MPLAD funds to establish skill development camps, schools and solar lights. On Saturday, Sawant visited the villages with Amethi MP Smriti Irani. “I want to tell people that Parrikarji’s good works will continue here forever,” Sawant told.
