Ahead of Congress stir, Rahul goes abroad again ‘to meditate’

NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi is on a “meditational visit” abroad, the party said Wednesday amid speculations about his whereabouts as it prepares to launch a nationwide agitation over economic slowdown from November 5-15.
AICC spokesman Randeep Surjewala said, “Rahul Gandhi has gone from time to time in the past on meditational visits. He is currently on one such visit.” The likely location is Indonesia, Congress sources said.
This is second back-to-back “meditational” trip for Rahul, having just been to Cambodia for around a week before the campaign began for the Haryana and Maharashtra polls.
BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya tweeted: “India is a leading centre for meditation. But Rahul Gandhi routinely flies out to odd destinations for ‘meditation’. Why doesn’t Congress simply make his itinerary public, after all he is a highly protected leader!”
