Kishan stirs row with ‘Hyd terror zone’ remark

HYDERABAD: New minister of state for home affairs G Kishan Reddy found himself in the middle of a controversy when AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi lambasted him on Saturday for his remark that Hyderabad was a ‘safe zone for terrorists’.
On Friday Reddy said any terror incident in the country would have a link to Hyderabad and maintained that he did not say anything wrong.
“In the last five years, how many times NIA, IB and RAW have given in writing that Hyderabad is a safe zone for terrorists? Such ‘irresponsible’ statements do not suit a new minister. Wherever they see Muslims, they take them for terrorists, we can’t cure them,” Owaisi said.
