He hailed Modi win, now claims vendetta
On May 23, when BJP swept to victory in the general election, Srivastava, who is president of the IRS association, retweeted a congratulatory message for PM Narendra Modi.
The message on Twitter had both Modi and Srivastava's photographs with the message: "One-India-one leader-one tax-one market.. India on the path of peace, progress and prosperity-…congratulations to hon-'ble prime minister sir for grand glorious victory."
Another tweet by him showed Srivastava welcoming FM Niramala Sitharaman with a bouquet along with other officer bearers of the IRS (customs and income tax) association.
Shortly after the government announced the compulsory retirement of 15 senior IRS officers, Srivastava issued a statement alleging "personal vendetta" against him by Pandey. "My file for promotion to chief commissioner had gone to UPSC from the department after due vigilance clearance and UPSC had fixed the date for review DPC for December 20, 2018. But, the new revenue secretary (Pandey) called back the promotion file on December 19, 2018. A clear malafide personal vendetta," he said in a statement.
