NEW DELHI: Amid the continuing power tussle between the BJP and Shiv Sena, Union minister of heavy industries and public enterprise Arvind Sawant on Monday said that he will resign from the Modi government.
Saying that 'Shiv Sena side is the truth', the Union minister added that he will hold a press conference later in Delhi to announce his resignation.
"Why stay in Delhi government in such a false environment. And that is why I am resigning as the Union minister," Sawant said in a tweet.

This comes hours after the the

BJP declined to form government in Maharashtra

on Sunday, and governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Sunday night

asked the Shiv Sena

to "indicate the willingness and ability" of the party to stake claim.

The Sena, the second-largest party in the 288-member House with 56 MLAs after the BJP (105), has time till 7:30pm on November 11, to stake the claim.
While the Sena has been making efforts to reach out to the NCP and the Congress, the Sharad Pawar-led party said the Sena will have to walk out of the NDA first.
